Peter Bogdanovich, Oscar-nominated director, dies at 82


Peter Bogdanovich, the director of 1970s black-and-white classics like “The Last Picture Show” and “Paper Moon,” has died. Considered part of a generation of young “New Hollywood” directors, Bogdanovich earned eight Oscar nods for “The Last Picture Show” in 1971. The director died early Thursday morning at his home in Los Angeles.
