Who was Mike Zimmer's son Adam Zimmer? How did he die?


Adam Zimmer, the son of former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike, has died. The coach had spent a lot of time coaching, and was a co-defensive coordinator with the Vikings until this last offseason. He joined the Cincinnati Bengals in July and had been an offensive analyst since then. His coaching career began all the way back in 2006, when he was a linebackers coach with the New Orleans Saints. He won a Super Bowl ring that year. The cause of death and any other details are currently unclear. Family and friends mourn the loss of Adam Zimmer The coach"s sister, Cori, wrote on Instagram: My brother was one of my best friends, especially after my mom died, we became so close. He was always there for me and always the first to show up and volunteer at my foundation events… I never even had to ask. Always telling me what a good job I did and how proud he was of me. Bengals owner Mike Brown also made a statement, according to Sports Illustrated: Our organization has had the privilege of working with the Zimmer family for 15 years. We have the highest regard for Mike and Adam, and we are incredibly saddened by this tragic news. Mike and Adam were more than just coaches for us â€" they were friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Zimmer family at this time. The Bengals lost on Monday Night Football to the Cleveland Browns last night, 32-13.
