Parkland jury voted 11-1 for death, family member says -- 1 holdout juror saved Nikolas Cruz's life

Nikolas Cruz was spared the death penalty because of one person who refused to vote for execution, family members of Parkland shooting victims revealed after the verdict. The family members said they were told the jury"s vote was 11-1 in favor of the death penalty for Cruz. The jury foreperson later told WFOR that the vote was actually 9-3 for death, but only 1 was a hard o on execution.
