I wanted to see if I could make boba out of gummies 🍬 and it worked! It did have a bit of an artificial flavor though but I wonder if it was the gummies I used ðŸ¤" Anyway here’s the recipe if you wanna try! 1. Add ~10 gummies and about 1/3 cup hot water. Mix until the gummies dissolve. 2. Add 1 tbsp tapioca starch and mix. Microwave for 1 min. Let cool 2 min. 3. Add 1/2 cup tapioca starch and combine/knead it in. Gradually knead in about 1/2 cup more tapioca starch (1 tbsp at a time) until a dough forms and isn’t sticky to the touch. 4. Roll into boba balls making sure not to make them too big. Coat in a light dusting of tapioca starch to prevent them from sticking to each other. 5. Add to boiling water and stir so they don’t stick to the bottom of the pot. Boil for 25 min. Turn off the heat and cover with lid for another 10 min. 6. Strain the boba and rinse in warm water to get the excess starch off. Soak in sweetener (sugar, honey, syrup, etc) while you prepare the drink, about 5+ min. 7. Add strawberry sauce (I puréed strawberries with sugar, blended it, then cooked it over the stove and added a little cornstarch to thicken it (look up how to use cornstarch to thicken syrup).
