Liz Truss: लिज ट्रस अब वो नाम है जो ब्रिटेन की नई प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में जाना जाएगा. कांटे की टक्कर वाले मुकाबले में ट्रस ने भारतीय मूल के ऋषि सुनक को पछाड़ दिया है. सोमवार को ही ऐलान हुआ कि कंजर्वेटिव पार्टी की नेता के साथ ही वो अगली पीएम भी बनेंगी. बता दें कि वह देश की तीसरी महिला पीएम होंगी. कड़े मुकाबले में लिज ट्रस को 81,326 वोट्स मिले तो वहीं ऋषि सुनक को 60,399 वोट मिले हैं जबकि वोटिंग प्रतिशत 82.6 फीसदी का रहा. Conservative Party leader Liz Truss has been elected as the new Prime Minister of United Kingdom defeating Indian-origin Rishi Sunak in the race. She will become prime minister tomorrow, when she visits the Queen in Balmoral for an invitation to form her UK government. Truss was born in Leeds, city in the county of West Yorkshire, England.
