Hurricane Ian formed early Monday in the Caribbean, and people in Tampa Bay, take note: The official National Hurricane Center forecast indicates the storm may bring significant impacts to the region â€" including major storm surge, damaging winds and flooding rainfall. As of the 8 a.m. advisory, Hurricane Ian was located about 275 miles southeast of the western tip of Cuba, with sustained winds of 75 mph. Ian"s movement is northwest at 14 mph.
