Widespread power outages are impacting those in the Tampa Bay area with more than 30,000 people without power in Manatee County alone Wednesday as Hurricane Ian makes landfall. Peace River Electric Cooperative"s (PREC) current outage map shows that 31,801 people in Manatee County are without power as of 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. In Sarasota County, Florida Power u0026 Light (FPL) is reporting 232,670 power outages as of 6:15 p.m. Click here to see a full list of outages in the southwest Florida region. TECO is reporting 52,000 customers without power in Hillsborough County as of 3:30 p.m. TECO said it is working to resolve an issue impacting its outage map. Duke Energy is reporting 142,781 outages in Pinellas County. Repair and damage assessments are underway, the power company reports.
