The Mets kept busy ahead of the trade deadline by dealing J.D. Davis to the Giants for Darin Ruf, The Postâs Joel Sherman reported. Ruf will be used primarily against left-handed starters and could be used in the outfield or as a DH. The 36-year-old owns an .886 OPS against lefties this season. Along with Davis, the Mets sent minor leaguers Thomas Szapucki, Nick Zwack and Carson Seymour to San Francisco. #mets #mlb #tradedeadline Subscribe and don"t miss out on all the key news, highlights, and interviews about the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Devils, Islanders and what"s buzzing in the sports world too!
