Summary: Russian troops broke through Ukrainian defenses north of Popasna and captured village Nyrkove, approached village Mykolayivka. Key areas: - Izyum bridgehead: no changes. - Lyman bridgehead - only Svyatohirsk bridgehead remains in Ukrainian hands. - Severodonetsk - Ukrainian troops gained control of Severodonetsk attached to Azot plant - Popasna area: Russian attack from Lypove area towards north that resulted in capture of village Nyrkove, and outskirts of Mykolayivka. - Svitlodarsk area: No changes. - Donetsk West: no changes - Kherson bridgehead: No changes. 1. Kharkiv: no changes, Ternova is captured by Russian forces, Rubizhne is in UA hands. Intensity of fighting has increased somewhat, Russian troops attempt to push Ukrainian troops further from the state border. 2. Izyum bridgehead. It is extremely dangerous penetration by Russian troops that potentially could lead to large pocket for Ukrainian troops west of Donetsk. Many Russian units from there were transferred to a salient near Popasna to exploit initial successes of Russian troops there. No changes today. 3. Lyman bridgehead. Only Svyatohirsk remains under Ukrainian control, Russian attack on it. Eventually, it will be lost similar to the rest of Lyman bridgehead. 4. Rubizhne: captured by Russian troops 5. Severodonetsk - street fighting, no changes. 6. Popasna area: Russian troops advanced from village Lypove, captured village Nyrkove and were stopped on outskirts of village Mykolayivka. 7. Svtilodarsk area: No changes today. 8. West of Donetsk: Avdiyivka and Maryinka. No changes today. 9. Vugledar is in Ukrainian hands. No changes today. 10. Velyka Novosilka - Gulyapole stretch of frontline. No changes. 11. Kherson bridgehead: Intense fighting near Davydiv Brid and Snigurivka. Russian troops bring reinforcements to the area, old T-62 tanks. No changes today.
