Katarina Johnson-Thompson suffers injury heartbreak in Olympic heptathlon Katarina Johnson-Thompson was left writhing in agony on the track after suffering a heartbreaking recurrence of her Achilles injury in the heptathlon. The Team GB star pulled up injured in the 200 metres before picking herself up to jog over the line, ending her medal hopes. Johnson-Thompson, 28, went down after completing the bend but refused treatment - and a wheelchair - and completed the race.
