Los Angeles Lakers Draft Grades focus on all of the Lakers picks and moves in the 2021 NBA Draft. The Lakers traded Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and the 22nd overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft to the Washington Wizards for Russell Westbrook and the 2024, 2028 second round draft picks. The Wizards used the Lakers 22nd pick to select C Isaiah Jackson (Kentucky). The Lakers are currently not scheduled to make a draft selection in the 2021 NBA draft. After the draft, the Lakers signed both University of Oklahoma Guard Austin Reaves and Gonzaga University Guard Joel Ayayi to two way deals. Reaves was an All-Big 12 player for the Sooners last season while Ayayi was a starter on the Gonzaga team that would go onto lose to the Baylor Bears in the National Championship game. Reaves averaged 18.5 ppg as a senior for the Sooners and Ayayi averaged 12 ppg as a senior for the Bulldogs. They also signed Texas Tech guard Mac McClung to a training camp deal.
